Hello Fresh takes the guesswork out of…

Hello Fresh takes the guesswork out of “What’s for dinner?”. We started the service after an autoimmune flare up where I had minimal use of my arms. A family member had gifted me some start up meals. My husband began preparing the meals! They are tasty and easy to prepare. We continue to order two meals a week most weeks. We cancel when out of town or have too many leftovers.

First strike

All in all I have been very happy with Hello Fresh. This week though two things happened. One, my delivery was a whole day late. No email or text why. Second, one of my meals was missing the scallions.

Not a fan. Very bad experience. Always have surprise meals and the quality is bad. It happened three times to me that they charge me and send me surprise meals and charged surprise bills when I do not want them. The first time I forget to skip the week and only found out two days before shipping on my credit card statement. Their customer service told me it was too late to cancel and charged me without letting me choose the menu. No complaints because I forgot. But they sent me almost garbage (veggies already turn black). Then I remembered to skip the weeks for about one and a half months. Then they charged me another surprise meal again although I skipped the week and confirmed it was skipped when they wanted me to choose the dishes. Again, a surprise meal with all the chipset dishes but an expensive surprise bill and not allowing me to change things 4-5 days before they ship. The box integrate was absolutely nothing to do with Fresh, and the amount is small. Completely unsatisfied and untrustable!

I have contacted their customer service and there's no such service because all of them including their manager can only tell me that they can do nothing and have to have me buy the things I do not want. The only offer they could provide to managers was persuading me to buy more later on...

The food is delicious and simple to make. They have a wide variety of choices and have always made anything right that may have been wrong (although anything rarely goes wrong). I love Hello Fresh and will continue with them for a long time to come.

Great food

Great food been getting boxes for over a year but 1 star taken away only because of how much they hound you to give away boxes to get rewards. I've gotten 2 people to sign up with our codes and no rewards... also, who knows that many people to give them to???

I have had good and bad experience

I have had good and bad experience, a lot more lately. Wrong ingredients or no ingredients at all. Tried to report the delivery which only had 2 paper bags inside with no ingredients to make the meals. Still a charge on my card though! To get a hold of a speaking person is very difficult. Tried the texting option which took way to long for them to understand what the issue was and by the end of it was told they could not help me and I would have to speak to someone. I'm sorry but you should pass the info along at this point. Why should I have to give up another 30 minutes of my time to correct you error! Considering stopping deliveries again!
The only thing that has improved is delivery of the boxes come earlier on Tuesday mornings!

Hellofresh has the best customer service

Hellofresh has the best customer service of anyone, period, not just meal plans or similar things. They have great dinners but one thing I wish is that they'd have more down-to-earth ones.

food is fine but customer service is awful

I've never really had any issues with the food other than it being overpriced for what you get, but they recently got rid of their grace period for unwanted boxes. You used to able to call within a time period after being charged for a box if you forgot to skip it or wanted to change it and I was able to be refunded for boxes I forgot to skip that I couldn't afford. NOW there is no grace period and once payment has gone through, they force that box on to you whether you want it or not, whether you can afford it or not, and will not change the meals in the box or give you a box credit or anything. This change feels very predatory in a time where people need to be more careful with their money. I was screwed out of $70 AND I'm getting a box of meals I won't even like simply because I had been skipping meals so far into the future that I forgot I still had the subscription.

Let me tell you about this company

Let me tell you about this company. In the beginning, everything was fine. It was actually better than fine. I loved it. The food is fresh and the recipes are the best. The problem is not with the food. The problem is with the sneaky way they ship their boxes. On three separate occasions, I was shipped boxes when I skipped the service, I was shipped a box anyway. The first time it happened, I let it slide because I love the food. However, the second time it happened, I called them the day of and rudely told them that I was tired of this and need it cancelled. It was cancelled and I was given a site credit. I don’t want a site credit. I want my money back. Going to dispute this with my credit card company. The final straw is the third time this happened. I was not offered a credit, nor was I able to cancel. So, I’m cancelling the service altogether. I do NOT like their deceptive practices. I do not recommend them if you don’t like being tricked. Stay away from this service unless you like companies that trick you and use deceptive practices.

HelloFresh doesn't care about its customers

I had been a HelloFresh customer for over a year. Then they just start treating you like they don't care about your business. Do not use HelloFresh they don't care about their customers. They only care about getting your money. They will lie and deceit you just to get your money. After I was a long time customer they didn't care at all about what was happening. I had 3 different employees lie and deceive me even after I had proof that they were doing this. DO NOT EVER USE HELLOFRESH

Nor really. They will want to give you a partial refund of the single ingredient you found to be of poor quality... and that's if you want to take the time to navigate the website to find out how to do it. Their website is totally designed to make customer service difficult.
